Lost in Transition launching HKILF March 6!
The Hong Kong Writers Circle‘s 19th anthology, Lost in Transition, will launch at the 2024 Hong Kong International Literary Festival on March 6 from 7.30pm – 8.45pm! The event will take place in the Jockey Club Theatre at the Hong Kong Fringe Club. This year’s anthology contains 30 short stories and poems inspired by Hong Kong’s underground life-support system – the MTR! (I also set my own theme of ‘Yakult’.)
I am really proud to have assisted Stewart McKay to edit this anthology, which is the longest HKWC anthology yet! HUGE thanks to Kasra Shroff for his stunning cover photo and my good pal Philippe Joly for helping design the cover. Stand back from the platform door and please don’t find yourself lost in transition…

Also a quick reminder that submissions for HKWC‘s quarterly literary magazine The Apostrophe are closed to writers but remain open to visual artists and photographers! The latest issue is on the theme of ‘Time’. Please send your art submissions to sadie@mentalideas.org.
